'Beat the Streak' at  i-pools.co.uk and win £1,000,000

i-pools.co.uk have launched a totally new way to win a million which is right up our street: just pick a different Premier League team to win their game each week for 20 straight weeks to scoop the million. It's quick and easy - get 20 in a row right and you'll Beat the Streak  and win £1million. Couldn't be simpler!

It used to be that fantasy sports and prediction sites were just a bit of fun, but now i-pools has launched a series of games with £1 million prizes, it’s about time serious sports bettors took a closer look.

There’s little doubt that you’ll need to run well to be a success in this form of punting, but we can improve our chances and give ourselves an edge against the majority of the field by getting our thinking caps on and doing a bit of work.

The first £1million Jackpot game at i-pools is called Beat the Streak, and is a Last Man Standing game where if you can survive 20 straight weeks you cop the seven figure payday.

As with all games on this ilk, you can only pick each team once, so to make a streak of 20, you’d have to go through the whole Premier League, picking each team once (and once only) to put together the perfect run and scoop £1million.

While most will just flick in the fiver and pick a team week to week, it makes far more sense to me to sit down with the season’s fixture list and plot a path, the road to riches one might say.

It’s all very well to sit down and look at Week 1’s fixtures and pick champions Chelsea to see off Burnley at home and sit back and wait until next week before considering our next move if, as expected, the Blues see off the Clarets. But it might be that we need to keep Chelsea in hand. We won’t be able to pick them again throughout the whole 20 weeks should we make it that far, so using one of the favourites this early in the game might not be the shrewdest long term move.

Newly promoted Huddersfield are favourites to drop straight back down into the Championship for example, and they might find an away game at Crystal Palace a tough introduction to life in the fast lane.

Palace are not expected to have a stellar season themselves, but with their vociferous home crowd and the Terriers just getting used to a first ever Premier League season, they should have too much for David Wagner’s outfit. We don’t exactly expect to be clamouring to pick Palace later in the game, and in a Streak where we need to pick every team if we’re to land the million, using Palace early on might be a good idea.

In Week 2, Manchester United (at Swansea) and Arsenal (at Stoke) both have what look like winnable games, but it might be that we again want to hold them back and prefer to go for someone like Leicester, who have what looks like a comfortable game at home to another of the new boys, Brighton.

I think the best way to go would be to go through the whole season’s games and pick out the most winnable games for the relegation favourites. The teams that finish in the bottom three generally only win about five or six games a season, so being able to feed them into our Streak at the right time is imperative.

The i-pools boys have already published an article detailing one of the routes you could have taken to a million if this game was available at the start of last season, and the games that stand out to me are when and against whom that winning Streak would have taken the ultimately relegated teams, Sunderland, Middlesbrough and Hull.

Hull showed a surprising bit of form to open the season, and, in their example Streak, would have been taken in Week 2 away at Swansea. Boro and Sunderland never really got going all season, but both managed 3-0 home wins against other minnows, Boro versus Bournemouth in Week 10 and Sunderland against Hull in Week 12.

This season I’d be a bit wary of how many games the likes of Huddersfield, Burnley, Watford and Swansea are likely to win, and pick out eminently winnable games for them to start with. After that I’ll be trying to find as many games as possible where the mid table teams are home to those at or near the bottom when they should be strong favourites, and I’ll feed the top six into the gaps in games where basically their playing anyone not within that all conquering group (Man United, Man City, Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs and Liverpool).

The fixed odds bookies, and even the spread firms, are giving away free information we can use to pick the smoothest route, and I’ll be trying to negotiate a path with the lowest variance and highest chance of keeping the dream alive by trying to be with short priced favourites each week.

A new Streak starts every Game Week, and with a £5 entry and £1 million for first, I’ll be investing a bit of time and a bit of money to see if I can win the big prize.

The non-Jackpot games there are getting bigger and bigger and you’ll find a lot of the work you’ve done on your fixed odds weekly bets will allow you to jump in their regular games with an edge on the field. It really is worth checking these out.

Being a winning punter is all about turning every possible +EV opportunity into a bankroll boost. Now is the time to add i-pools into your regular routine and reap the rewards.
